Version 4.0 (15.11.2000)

Version 3.1 (30.05.2000)

  • Improvement: Optimized files retain their original creation date, modification date and Finder label so that some tools like backup applications and AppleScript's work.
  • Fixed: Some GIF images with comment could get corrupted while optimizing them (however, all optimizations are only made on copies of the original files).

Version 3.0.2 (26.01.2000)

  • New: Added a preferences option to add file names. Files with those names will not be optimized and copied unchanged to the destination folder.
  • Bug Fix: Fixed a conflict with the Palm Desktop Extension which resulted in a crash after quitting Web Site Turbo.
  • Bug Fix: WST could freeze when it tried to optimize a Tango file (file name ending with ".qry")

Version 3.0.1 (16.09.1999)

The new version fixes various bugs that could change the appearance of the optimized files under certain circumstances. In addition, trying to optimize big non-web pages like QuickTime movies or sounds could crash the application.

Version 3.0 (17.08.1999)

  • New: The application name has changed because GIF and JPEG comments can now be removed, too.
  • New: Complete new, much easier to use interface.
  • New: The report will now be written in HTML. This means for you that it is easier to understand and printable. • New: The report can now be customized, for example for your superiors or for your clients.
  • Improvement: Many new optimizations make your web pages even faster. For example, empty tags like <B></B> will now be removed.

Version 2.0 (15.12.1998)

  • New: More than 30 new optimizations make your web pages up to 30 % smaller.
  • New: Missing WIDTH and HEIGHT attributes can be added to the <IMG> tag so that the web browser can display the whole text before the images must be loaded.
  • New: URL’s can be qualified (see the chapter Program Customization for more information). This halves the time to connect to the web server.
